The Lost Artifact

The Lost Artifact is a real-time, immersive escape room experience set amidst the replica ruins of an ancient temple inside a university archaeology lab. Participants will take on the role of codebreaking archaeologists, working together to uncover ancient secrets, recover a legendary artifact, and escape before the chamber’s lockdown. This event blends logical thinking, basic programming, arithmetic puzzles, and physical clue-solving, creating an engaging challenge that emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and strategy.

Event Structure

Team Size: 3–5 members per team
Total Teams: 10
Time Limit: 15–18 minutes per team (plus briefing)
Venue: Research Lab and Room Number - 705 (complies with event rules)

Rules and Guidelines

No use of personal devices or phones during the event.
All clues will be provided inside the escape room.
Participants must follow lab safety rules and respect the event space.
The decision made by the organizing committee will be final.
Both time and points will determine the winner (remaining time will be converted into points).
Hints will cost both points and additional time.

Scoring System

Performance will be scored based on points earned from solving clues and the time taken to complete the challenge.

Winning Criteria

Teams are ranked based on their total score (points from clues + time bonus – penalties). The team with the highest final score will be declared the winner.
